Mlynek / Mylenek Family Genealogy - 2005 Correspondence

  • MESSAGE:  January 11, 2005" "Your site said you're looking for descendants of surname Uher. My great-grandfather was Frank Uher (younger brother Albert). Frank was born around 1878. According to the 1920 census, he emigrated to the US from Bohemia in 1905. He lived in Oakland, CA. He was a men's tailor who owned two shops, one of which was destroyed in the big earthquake. Frank died at 47 from consumption, leaving a wife (Lillie Riley) and three young children: Frank, Helen, and Lillian. The middle child is my grandmother, who is still living.
I've just begun my search and am hoping to learn more about my Uher ancestry :)" Lisa in Santee (San Diego) CA ficklepearl@yahoo.com
