This website was created in 2000 to focus on the visual arts and originally was based on the artwork of Dennis Chadra now located at http://www.dennischadra.com.  Visual art links were added to compliment the art studio pages.

  • Dennis Chadra Art Studio & Gallery: Artist / Instructor Dennis Chadra paints in oils specializing in still life, landscapes, portraits and figures. Located in Wheaton, IL. The major turning point in his style was due to studying several years under Wes Berrier, a traditionalist who paints in Rembrandt's technique. Dennis has also studied under Professor Chang Li of Beijing, China who paints in the French Impressionistic style. He has studied under Romel de la Torre, a prior student of Richard Schmid, in Portrait Painting.  He has documented the art techniques of Chang Li and the late Joseph DeVelasco (b.1933-d.1999). Currently, Dennis is studying under David A. Leffel in still life and portrait painting.

  • Joe Babat Watercolors: Dennis Chadra's cousin, IL watercolor artist Joe Babat, has a new site.
     
  • George Ceffalio: George Ceffalio is a native of Chicago, IL. Studied commercial art in college but did not start painting fine art until 2004. He has studied with David Leffel and Rose Frantzen along with several other artists at the Palette & Chisel Academy of Fine Art and the DuPage Art League.
    The paintings created are done in oil paint in the chiaroscuro classic style. Most of the paintings start out with small sketches or a still life set up that can take many alterations before getting the right feel and look George is trying to express. Mixing realism and abstraction to obtain this goal.
     
  • Christopher Hughes: Naperville, IL resident since 1998 has been inspired by our Mid-West landscapes to the great cities around the world that he has visited or has lived. Mostly a self taught artist with valuable guidance from Art League members and friends to be bold and spontaneous.

  • Ratindra Das: Ratindra Das is a nationally known artist, educator and juror who holds signature membership in American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, Transparent Watercolor Society of America (Master status), Northwest Watercolor Society, Watercolor West, Mississippi Watercolor Society and Arizona Watercolor Association. A frequent juror of exhibitions and shows, recently he was one of the selection juror for the American Watercolor Society and sole juror of selection and awards for the 2006 annual exhibit of the Transparent Watercolor Society of America. He has won numerous awards in national competitive shows that included five awards from the American Watercolor Society.
     
  • Michael Siegel Fine Art: A fantastic artist. The pivotal moment in his studies came in 1998, when at the age of 18 he attended a painting seminar taught by Gregg Kreutz of the New York Art Students' League, who introduced him to the chiaroscuro style of the old Dutch Masters. Since then Michael has been studying privately under the incomparable David A.
