Palette & Chisel Academy of Fine Art and the DuPage Art League.
The paintings created are done in oil paint in the chiaroscuro classic style. Most of the paintings start out with small sketches or a still life set up that can take many alterations before getting the right feel and look George is trying to express. Mixing realism and abstraction to obtain this goal.

Since then Michael has been studying privately under the incomparable David A. Leffel, formerly of the Art Student's League in NY, who is considered by many as a "20th Century Old Master."
