"I finally had a chance to give that information you sent me to my father. He is going to go over it any chance he can get. He says he can trace most of the family history about 200 years.
I'll forward any information to you as I get it. BTW without looking at the information just by the last name alone he knew of Adamczyks in the Nowy Targ area. Hope I can help you some."

"Re: Adamczyk Surnames. I have seen it but I have to run it by my father yet. Most likely if we are not a direct decsendant then he should know who is a direct descendant.
Just for your information, as far as I know most every Slodyczka can trace his/her roots to the village of Slodyczki near Zakopane. I'll still run this by him just haven't had a chance lately as our schedules haven't crossed. I'll keep you posted and look forward to speaking to you again." Regards, John T. "Subject: Adamczyk Surnames. My name is John T. Slodyczka I emigrated from Poland to Chicago in 1980 but I had relatives here in the United States at the turn of the century. My father is very good at family history and perhaps
I may be of some assistance and since I would like to find the graves of some of my ancestors (in the Pennsylvania area) maybe it would be a mutual help." Regards, John T. Slodyczka

"I am looking for info on my great-grandparents. Here is what I know. Jonnus Kowalczyk came to the US in 1899, worked in a coal mine in Adamsburg, PA until he returned to Lublin, Poland in 1906 to bring his wife and son to
the US. His wife's name was Rosalia (Wodarczyk) Kowalczyk.
On their return trip to the US in (summer?) 1907, my grandmother was born. I know that she was not on the ship's manifest, but don't know what ship or exactly when it landed at Ellis Island. Can you be of any assistance?" Ken Rice Ken.Rice@AstraZeneca.com
