Just for your information, as far as I know most every Slodyczka can trace his/her roots to the village of Slodyczki near Zakopane. I'll still run this by him just haven't had a chance lately as our schedules haven't crossed. I'll keep you posted and look forward to speaking to you again." Regards, John T. "I am looking for info on my great-grandparents. Here is what I know. Jonnus Kowalczyk came to the US in 1899, worked in a coal mine in Adamsburg, PA until he returned to Lublin, Poland in 1906 to bring his wife and son to
the US. His wife's name was Rosalia (Wodarczyk) Kowalczyk.
On their return trip to the US in (summer?) 1907, my grandmother was born. I know that she was not on the ship's manifest, but don't know what ship or exactly when it landed at Ellis Island. Can you be of any assistance?" Ken Rice Ken.Rice@AstraZeneca.com

My husband's grandfather Michael Mutro ( he Americanized his surname) which he goes my Mutro. On the 1930 Census has his birth place GALICIA/GALIZIEN/ HALYCHYNA; POLAND. Michael Mutro was born 21 Nov 1885 father Theodore Mutro.
